Jack Antonoff, Carly Rae Jepsen & More Launch 'Audible Impact' Events at Grammy Museum

Music and activism series kicks off yearlong run at Grammy Museum on Aug. 28

Jack Antonoff (Bleachers, fun.), Lena Dunham (HBO’s Girls) and Carly Rae Jepsen are among the celebrities set to inaugurate a yearlong series focused on music and activism. Audible Impact will kick off Aug. 28 at the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live. Also on hand will be Andrew Dost (fun.), comedian Reggie Watts (The Late Late Show With James Corden) and actress Alia Shawkat (television’s Arrested Development).

The Ally Coalition, co-founded by Antonoff and Dost, is producing Audible Impact in collaboration with the Grammy Museum and Emmy-nominated production company MBM Entertainment. Each event will feature a morning service project involving corporate and student volunteers in support of a local LGBTQ organization and an afternoon workshop and panel discussion with L.A. high school students, community leaders, activists and entertainers. Capping each event: an evening concert at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater and an afterparty at the Soho House. Additional Audible Impact events will be announced at a later date.

“Even though everyone can now marry in the U.S., discrimination, hate crimes and homelessness disproportionately impact the LGBTQ community,” Antonoff said in a statement. “I’m thrilled the Ally Coalition has this opportunity to highlight artists using their position as a tool to make a difference.”

In addition to the Grammy Museum, Audible Impact sponsors include HBO, Pandora and Toyota Financial Services. American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public through Friday (Aug. 7) at 10 p.m. PT. Regular ticket sales begin Saturday (Aug. 8) at noon PT.
