A2IM President Rich Bengloff Is Stepping Down
Rich Bengloff, who has led the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) for eight and a half turbulent years for the music business, announced on Friday he'll be stepping down this summer. In a statement on the A2IM website, Bengloff said it was time for a "fresh look" within the group. Vice president Molly Neuman will step in temporarily as the organization begins its search for a new president.
"I considered my tenure as A2IM president as the greatest personal and professional honor of my career and thank our members for their trust and faith in me and the A2IM staff.," Bengloff said. "But believing in term limits, as exists for the A2IM board, it’s time for a fresh look. While the search for the next President ensues I will be advising and consulting during the transition and I hope to keep in touch with many of our members going forward."
In May, A2IM announced the election of three new members to its board of directors: Beggars Group chairman Martin Mills, INgrooves evp Amy Dietz and Secretly Group co-founder Darius Van Arman.
