Yahoo is closing its office in China, eliminating 200-300 jobs, Bloomberg News reported.? It cited a statement that said Yahoo has told staff based in Beijing that it would close the operation. Bloomberg also cited a source as saying 200-300 employees are working there. Some functions are expected to be shifted to the online company's U.S. operation.
The Internet giant, led by CEO Marissa Mayer, has been streamlining its operations and cut staff in different parts of the world, including recent layoffs in Canada.
