Apple Announces Watch Pre-Orders for April 10
Apple CEO Tim Cook officially unveiled the company's newest must-have gadget, the Apple Watch, on Monday (March 9) at an event in San Francisco.
Cook took to the stage to announce the Apple Watch will be available for pre-order on April 10th and cost between $349 and $10,000.
Consumers got their first glimpse of the smart timepiece, which also does email, texts, phone calls and includes Apple Pay technology, way back in September.
Since half-revealing the watch, Apple sold a ton of its larger new iPhones (helping it top Samsung in sales in late 2014) and raised the profile of its new radio service by hiring BBC host Zane Lowe, plus the company is on the cusp of relaunching the Beats music subscription service, likely under the iTunes brand.
Also at the event, Apple announced an exclusive partnership with HBO for the cable network's standalone streaming service, HBO Now.
