Steven Storch Joins Reservoir Media Management as CFO

Veteran music industry financial executive Steven Storch, who has made his mark at Sony/ATV and Imagem among other stops in his career, is joining indie music publisher Reservoir Media Management as CFO.

In his new position alongside Reservoir Media president Golnar Khosrowshahi and chief operating officer Rell Lafargue, Storch will lead Reservoir's financial operations from the company's New York City headquarters. Khosrowshahi said the company is "thrilled" by the addition of Storch to Reservoir's senior management and added, "We firmly believe that his experience and knowledge will take Reservoir to the next level as we continue to expand our catalog and sign groundbreaking talent."

Reservoir Acquires First State; Deal Grows Catalog to 75,000 Songs 

At Sony/ATV and Imagem, Storch was involved in leading acquisitions of catalogs like Famous Music and Leiber & Stoller at the former; and Rogers & Hart at the latter. He also played a role in shaping the technology infrastructures at both companies. For example, Storch implemented Sony/ATV's global finance network, proprietary copyright and royalty system and IT hub, according to the Reservoir announcement.

Prior to working in music publishing, Storch, who holds a MBA from Rutgers, was the vp of finance at Sony Music International and before that he was involved in financial analysis for manufacturing and sales and distribution at CBS Records/Sony Music Entertainment.

Of his new company, Storch said in a statement, Reservoir "is perfectly positioned in the marketplace, with a laser focus on aggressively acquiring new catalogs, while providing writers and clients with the highest level of service and attention."
