New Signings: Q Prime Signs Volbeat, Incubus Joins Island Records, Downtown Nabs Atticus Ross
Here's a look at the latest artist signings across the music industry, including record labels, artist management firms, publishing companies, booking agencies and more.
-- Incubus signs an exclusive worldwide contract with Island Records. The band will release a four-song EP, titled Trust Fall (Side A), through the label on March 24. The first single is called "Absolution Calling."
-- Desaparecidos joins Epitaph. The group, which features singer-songwriter Conor Oberst, will release a new album in 2015. The label also welcomes Boston-based melodic hardcore group Defeater.
-- Mom + Pop Music nabs Australian alternative rock band DMA's. The act will release its debut album later this year. Mom + Pop's roster also includes FIDLAR, Cloud Nothings and Sleigh Bells.
-- Victory Records welcomes Texas metal band Shattered Sun to its artist roster. The group will release its new album, Hope Within Hatred, on April 21.
-- R&B act Jaheim inks a record deal with BMG Primary Wave Label Services. Jaheim is currently working on his seventh album, which will be released this fall/winter. Primary Wave partner Steven Greene brought him on.
-- Warner Bros. Records signs a global recording contract with musician Nile Rodgers and his band CHIC. WBR also enters into a deal with Land of The Good Groove, the label formed by Rodgers and music executive Michael Ostin.
-- Power pop group Jukebox the Ghost joins Cherrytree Records. The label plans to reissue the act's recent self-titled full-length album with a bonus disc in the near future.
-- ThinkSay Records welcomes recording artist Matt White to its artist roster. White's music has appeared in such TV shows and films as One Tree Hill, The Bachelorette,Wedding Crashers and Shrek the Third.
-- Nettwerk Music Group nabs Australian multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd. He will release a new album, Nanna, on March 17.
-- Jazz musician Alexander Brettin, who performs under the name Mild High Club, signs with Stones Throw Records. Brettin's debut album, featuring guest vocals by Ariel Pink, is scheduled for release in the spring.
-- Toronto-based record label Arts & Crafts inks singer-songwriter Calvin Love.
-- Sacred Bones signs Jenny Hval. She will tour throughout March with St. Vincent and Perfume Genius, and is expected to release a new album in the coming months.
-- Las Vegas dance duo Caked Up signs with Dim Mak Records. The group is joining Dim Mak chief Steve Aoki for his Neon Future Experience Tour.
-- Australian hard rock band Airbourne inks a worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records. The label is partnering with Universal Germany's Vertigo imprint for German-speaking markets. Spinefarm also welcomes punk band Anti-Flag.
-- New York-based management firm Q Prime signs Danish metal band Volbeat for North America. The act is touring the U.S. and Canada this spring.

-- Country music act James Carothers inks an exclusive worldwide booking agreement with Nashville-based Third Coast Talent.
-- Downtown Music Publishing signs a worldwide publishing agreement with composer, songwriter and producer Atticus Ross. He has collaborated on numerous projects with Trent Reznor, including five Nine Inch Nails albums and such award-winning films asThe Social Network, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl.
-- Round Hill Music enters into a joint venture with Eric Krasno's Feel Music Group. The first signing under the new joint venture is Brooklyn duo the London Souls.
-- BBR Music Group inks country music singer Craig Campbell to its Magic Mustang Music publishing roster. Campbell joined BBR Music Group's label imprint Red Bow Records in December. He is booked by WME and is a SESAC songwriter.
