MediaHorse to Represent Sync Rights for HoriPro

Music licensing and creative marketing firm MediaHorse has signed on to provide sync licensing representation for the U.S. music publishing subsidiary of Tokyo-based HoriPro Entertainment Group.

MediaHorse will seek placements of songs from a catalog that includes hits by KISS ("Rock and Roll All Night," "Detroit Rock City," "Shout It Out Loud"), REO Speedwagon ("Keep On Loving You," "Roll With the Changes") and Marilyn Manson ("The Beautiful People," "The Dope Show").

MediaHorse will also assist in developing A&R strategies to build up HoriPro's artist roster and develop creative initiatives to further exploit HoriPro's catalog of copyrights. 

HoriPro, a full-service, independent music publisher, has been around since 1990 and has offices in Los Angeles and Nashville. Shauna Krikorian and Joe Berman formed MediaHorse  in Los Angeles in 2010.

MediaHorse recently placed Kelly Sweet's version of the Phil Collins hit "In the Air Tonight" in NBC's A.D. - The Bible Continues ad that aired during the Super Bowl. The song has also been used in ads for Lifetime and NBC's Believe. The company also placed covers of T. Rex's "20th Century Boy" by J-Man in a Verizon spot and Avila's rendition of the Elvis Presley hit "All Shook Up" in a Trojan campaign. Avila also covered Aerosmith's "Dream On" for Orange is the New Black  promos.
