Nederlander Concerts Taps Eddie Orjuela as Latin Programming Consultant
Concert and event promoter and manager Eddie Orjuela has been tapped to book and consult Latin programming for Nederlander Concerts' venues, effective immediately.
Orjuela is president and founder of Orjuela Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based Latin music entertainment company focused on producing live Latin events that also provides artist services, brand activations and management consulting. Orjuela has produced and promoted shows by the likes of Gloria Trevi, Maná, Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias, as well as by many regional Mexican acts, including Ramon Ayala and Los Tigres del Norte.
Nederlander already books many Latin acts into its venues, which include the Greek Theater and the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara Grove and City National Grove of Anaheim.
Venezuelan singer/songwriter Franco De Vita, for example, will perform May 8 at City National Civic Theater in San Jose and May 9 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Likewise, Nederlander and Orjuela have partnered for multiple shows, including recent sellouts by Mexican rockers Maldita Vecindad and Alejandra Guzman in San José Civic. However, says Nederlander CEO Alex Hodges, the new partnership formalizes the relationship. "We look forward to utilizing Eddie's expertise and relationships to grow our Latin programming," he said.
"I intend to optimize my vast experience to strengthen [Nederlander's] footprint within the Latin community," said Orjuela.
