Australia's Creative Industries Launch Digital Content Guide
In the years since BigPond appeared on the scene, Australia has matured into one of the world's most competitive markets for digital music services, with more than 30 businesses jostling for attention. Not everyone will make the cut. The major label-backed, homegrown Songl closed its on-demand music subscription service after Sept. 25. And Deezer has already closed its Australian office, leaving its Australasian activities to be driven from its affiliate in Singapore and its HQ in Paris.
Telstra's music streaming service MOG would "remain as is for the forseeable future," a spokesperson told CNET.
