Lisa Bashi Named AGI VP of Operations

Top independent booking agency Artist Group International (AGI) has named former Live Nation executive Lisa Bashi as the firm's  Vice President of Operations, effective immediately.

In her new role, Lisa will oversee day-to-day management and work closely with founder/CEO Dennis Arfa and his team to help maximize strategic opportunities for the business. In making the announcement, Arfa says Bashi brings "a wealth of great industry experience, and we look forward to her enhancing our business at AGI.”

Bashi most recently served as director of accounting for Live Nation’s Northeast Music region, overseeing New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston and Philadelphia, working closely with operations, production, marketing and ticketing.   Prior to that, she helped oversee the creation of a new structure for Live Nation's thriving Comedy division, working closely with the division's president, Geof Wills.  She also simultaneously worked with Live Nation Touring Finance under the same umbrella. Bashi's background with show settlements, night-of-show experience, and tour accounting was able to play an important financial role in the Prince tour in 2010-2011. 

Bashi joined Live Nation in 2006 as Accounting Manager for the Florida Region. She began her career as an event accountant for Palace Sports & Entertainment, where she oversaw accounting for concerts and events at the Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Energy Music Theatre, and Meadowbrook Amphitheatre.  

Arfa, one of the most respected agent's in the industry, founded AGI in 1986 with flagship client Bill Joel, who he has represented for some 40 years. Joel remains one of the most in-demand performers in the world, selling out arenas and stadiums across America this year, including an unprecedented "franchise" tag at Madison Square Garden in New York. Under Arfa's leadership and a team of creative agents, the AGI has grown to represent a diverse roster that includes such top headlining talent as Metallica, Rod Stewart, Linkin Park, Rush, Def Leppard, Rammstein, Motley Crue  and Volbeat.

AGI was acquired by Ron Burkle’s the Yucaipa Companies’ music and entertainment vehicle, Y Entertainment Group, in 2012.
