Cascine, the Brooklyn-based independent dream pop label, has begat CSCN, a new singles imprint that will spotlight developing artists from around the world.

Jeff Bratton, founder of Cascine, says the new entity will function as a kind of “pop workshop,” allowing the label to work with a broader array of talent by operating on short schedules. CSCN will release a single a month, usually with a B-side, as a digital exclusive and with no long-term commitment on the part of either the artist or the label.
“Last year, there were several points where we wanted to release great tracks by new bands, but doing so would cause hiccups with the Cascine calendar, which is more comprehensive and slow-moving,” Bratton says. “The overall sound will be in-line with Cascine's aesthetic, but we plan to take some risks and surprise people along the way.”
Listen to the first CSCN release, Parisian duo Studio Montaigne’s slick, club-friendly “Home” b/w “Systematic,” premiering exclusively on Billboard below. Read more about Cascine’s origins and operations in our “Independent Study” feature here.
