Paul Simon and his wife, Edie Brickell, have been arrested in Connecticut on disorderly conduct charges. A police spokeswoman in New Canaan said the arrests stemmed from an incident Saturday.
A press release issued Monday morning by the New Canaan Police Dept. describes the incident as a "family dispute." Authorities responded to a location at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Saturday where they found probable cause to arrest both Simon and Brickell. They were released, and an arraignment in Norwalk Superior Court is expected Monday afternoon.
Earlier, NBC Connecticut quoted a police department staffer as saying that "some sort of a domestic violence charge" had occurred, however, that detail was not confirmed.
