Justin Bieber, who made an unannounced appearance during Chance the Rapper's set on April 13, sees a 15 percent rise in overall chart points and remains at No. 1. The duo performed their collaboration "Confident," which hit No. 13 hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs last year. The buzz helped make Chance the sixth most-mentioned performer of the weekend (according to Twitter).
Bieber shared a video of the surprise performance to his Instagram account, which snagged more than 750,000 likes. That helped Bieber net a 97 percent rise in engagement on the platform through the week ending April 13, and add an overall 636,000 new fans to his audience.
Elsewhere on the Social 50, Beyonce dances up 14-8 thanks to a surprise appearance with her sister Solange on April 12. During Solange's performance of "Losing You," Beyonce emerged from backstage and the two did a short choreographed dance number together (though Bey did not sing). Beyonce saw a 135 percent rise in reactions across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. On Twitter alone, where mentions of Beyonce climbed by 84 percent, she added 56,000 new followers.
The rest of the top 10 is fairly static, as Shakira, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry all hold at Nos. 2-4, respectively. Ariana Grande rises 6-5, Taylor Swift dips 5-6 and Eminem holds at No. 7. Pitbull descends a rung to No. 9, and Demi Lovato returns to the top 10, rising five slots to No. 10.
