Rock legends the Rolling Stones stand at the top of Hot Tours this week with ticket sales topping $38.6 million from the 50 and Counting Tour.

The brief tour played to sellout crowds in three arenas during the latter part of 2012 beginning with a two-show engagement in London, the city where the band formed fifty years ago.  London's O2 Arena hosted the tour for two nights, selling 31,755 tickets for performances on November 25 and 29.

Concerts at two major concert venues in the metropolitan New York/New Jersey market followed the London launch with capacity crowds at shows held in early December.  The Stones played Brooklyn's new Barclays Center on December 8 as well as a two-show stint on December 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. to wrap the year, the latter of which was aired as a live Pay-Per-View special.

Robbie Williams scores this week's second place ranking with box office grosses reported from a three-show run at the O2 Arena in London beginning on November 22.  The concerts came on the heels of his latest album launch that occurred earlier in the month. The English pop star's ninth studio album, Take the Crown, was released in the U.K. on November 5.  Williams will kick off a 2013 tour to support the new album in June, playing stadiums in the U.K. and nine other European countries through the end of August.

Nickelback, Jennifer Lopez and Elton John all earn spots among Billboard's weekly list of the top 10 tours based on box office totals reported by arenas in Australia.  Nickelback's No. 3 ranking comes from appearances at Perth Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre and Allphones Arena in Sydney during November.  More than 45,000 tickets were sold to see the Canadian rockers at all four performances.  The band played in Perth on November 17, in Brisbane on November 22 and in Sydney for two nights, November 24 and 25.

The same three venues hosted Jennifer Lopez the following month during the homestretch of the pop stars' 2012 Dance Again World Tour that played in five Australian cities during December.  Like Nickelback, Lopez also played two consecutive nights in Sydney.  The total number of sold seats for all four shows was 34,523 with $5.9 million in revenue, giving the native New Yorker the No. 4 Hot Tours ranking.

Elton John takes the sixth place ranking this week based on his appearances at the new 15,000-seat sports and entertainment arena in the Western Australia city of Perth.  Sir Elton was the inaugural concert headliner at Perth Arena that opened on November 10.  With a second sold-out performance two days later, revenue from both shows neared the $4 million mark with almost 22,000 tickets sold.
