Ricky Muñoz, leader, founder, accordionist and vocalist of the award-winning group Intocable, has signed with SESAC Latina for representation of the public performing rights of his songs. The deal covers all territories worldwide except Mexico.
Muñoz's new agreement coincides with Intocable's recent new record deal with Universal Music Latin Entertainment. Intocable, one of norteño's most successful and forward-thinking groups, was long signed to EMI Latin before going indie in 2011 and self releasing their album Intocable 2011. This past November, the group decided to take the major route again, signing with UMLE.
The first album to be released under both the UMLE and SESAC deals is "Peligro de Extinción" (In Danger of Extinction), due out this March. Muñoz's publishing is signed to Serca and also to Good-I music. His catalog previous to Peligro De Extinción will remain under administration with BMI.
