Director Francis Ford Coppola is starting a video imprint, American Zoetrope DVD, with the Jan. 27 release of his 1982 musical "One From the Heart." The title is being distributed by San Francisco-based Fantoma Films, which is handled by Ryko Distribution.

The film, which was produced by Coppola's ill-fated Zoetrope Studios, has long been unavailable on video.

Several features of the two-disc set focus on the film's music, which was written by Tom Waits and performed by Waits and Crystal Gayle. The score and songs have been remixed in 5.1 surround, and can be heard in an isolated music-only track. Extras include a documentary on Waits' central role in the making of the film, previously unreleased demos and alternate takes of the songs and optional subtitles with complete lyrics of all songs.
