Clear Channel Reaching Out To Local Markets

Company sets up local advisory boards

Clear Channel has formed advisory boards in an attempt to stay in touch with developments in the local markets it covers.

Local managers from the company's radio, entertainment, outdoor and television divisions will run the boards, which aim to foster discussion with local music communities, consumer-advocacy groups, government members and customer representatives.
The first board has been formed in the company's home base of San Antonio, Texas; others are expected to take shape by the end of the first quarter in Cleveland, Ohio, and Sarasota, Fla.

Clear Channel owns 1,200 radio stations in more than 300 markets.
