The album--with a score by Emmy-winning composer John Debney, whose credits include "Elf," "Bruce Almighty," "Princess Diaries" and "Spy Kids"--will be released simultaneously to the mainstream and Christian markets on Feb. 24. The film will open the next day, Ash Wednesday, on more than 2,000 U.S. screens.

Additionally, a multi-artist album of songs inspired by "The Passion of Christ" is in the works. At press time, the distribution deal for that project was close to being finalized.
