Sony Music International president Rick Dobbis, Clear Channel Entertainment CEO Brian Becker and EMI Music Publishing CEO Martin Bandier are among the key executives set to participate in the third annual Billboard Music & Money Symposium, to be held March 4 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York.
Also participating will be Jeffrey Sine, vice chairman of UBS Warburg; John Frankenheimer, co-chairman of law firm Loeb & Loeb; and Ken Abdo, chairman of the ABA Forum on the Entertainment & Sports Industries. As previously reported, the keynote address will be delivered by Scott Sperling, managing director for Thomas H. Lee Partners, the lead investment group in the pending acquisition of Warner Music Group.
The one-day symposium is intended as a networking event for companies looking to invest in entertainment projects, top music-industry executives and entrepreneurs seeking financial resources. Panel topics include "Executive Roundtable," "Post-Merger Economics," "The Changing Artist Business Model" and "Investing in the Digital Future."
New this year at the Music & Money Symposium will be CLE accreditation from the state of New York, mandatory continuing legal education, both for newly admitted attorneys and for all other attorneys admitted and practicing in New York.
