Gianluigi Chiodaroli exited Friday (April 2) as EMI Music Italy's VP of strategic affairs and human resources. The departure of Chiodaroli -- a lawyer who is also current president of Italian broadcast and public performance collecting society SCF -- is not thought to be related to the company's restructuring, which will see 1,500 staffers let go worldwide.
In a statement, Chiodaroli says, "I have decided to leave EMI in order to dedicate myself more fully to rights collection on behalf of the Italian record industry."
Chiodaroli's position is assumed by Pier Luigi Cominesi, who takes the title of VP human resources, legal and business affairs. Cominesi, who will be assisted by human resources manager, Stefania Filippi, was previously VP, legal and business affairs. He continues to report to president/CEO, Riccardo Clary.
