Italian EMI Publishing Exec Dies

Antonio Marrapodi was 57.

Antonio Marrapodi, managing director of EMI Music Publishing in Italy, died last night (April 20) at his home in Milan. He was 57.

Marrapodi had worked for EMI Music Publishing and its forebears since 1974, when he joined Sugar Music Publishing.

"I have known Antonio Marrapodi for more than 30 years both as a colleague and a friend," says EMI Music Publishing chairman/CEO Martin Bandier, "and I am devastated by his sudden death. My condolences go out to his family and colleagues, who will miss him deeply."

Marrapodi is survived by his wife and two sons. Funeral details were not available at deadline.
