Gianluigi Chiodaroli has been re-elected as president of SCF, Italy's broadcasting and performing rights collecting society, for a two-year term.Chiodaroli, who was initially appointed to the role in December, 2001, was voted in today during the society's general assembly.
Chiodaroli, who is a lawyer, currently works as an intellectual property consultant, having resigned as EMI Italy's VP, human resources and strategic business development, in April.
In a statement, Chiodaroli says: "Broadcasting and performance rights collection has grown rapidly in Italy and is now worth almost €18 million ($21 million) a year. It is our aim to make Italy one of the top five nations in this respect."
The Milan-based society was set up as recently as January 2000.
