The Chapel Hill, N.C.-based label will release in June a 7" vinyl single featuring a new track each from Montreal act the Arcade Fire and the Alvino Rey Orchestra, with the former's full-length debut "Funeral" due in September.

In October, Merge will release a solo EP by indie-rocker Lou Barlow. The Dinosaur Jr. and Folk Implosion alum will follow up with a full-length project in early 2005.

Also in October, the label will issue singer/songwriter Richard Buckner's sixth album, "Dents & Shells," as well as the first album in 10 years by American Music Club. The as-yet-untitled record is the group's first studio set since 1994's "San Francisco."

In celebration of its 15 years as a label, Merge will on July 13 release the 3-CD compilation "Old Enough to Know Better." The project spans its entire catalogue and includes new and previously unreleased material from artists like Crooked Fingers, Spoon, Superchunk and Camera Obscura.
