XM Satellite Radio says it will begin developing and marketing high-end products for the home through a new relationship with Antex Electronics, a Gardena, Calif.-based maker of satellite receivers.

The first product under the alliance, the XM-3000 receiver, enables listeners to receive up to three XM Radio channels and distribute them simultaneously to different areas of a home.

Phil Whitworth, XM director of product marketing, says the product is a response to growing consumer demand for XM service throughout the home.
