Usher, Kanye Spreading 'Truth' On Tour

Trek kicks off Aug. 5 in Hampton, Va.

In what is expected to big one of the biggest urban outings of the year, Usher has announced details for his Truth tour with Kanye West. The trek will kick off Aug. 5 in Hampton, Va., and wrap Oct. 7 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Although OutKast member Big Boi was rumored to be part of the package, he will not be involved in the tour.

Usher will be touring in support of his latest LaFace/Zomba album, "Confessions," which is No. 3 in its 10th week on The Billboard 200. The set has already sold 3.7 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and has landed three singles in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

Uber-producer West is enjoying huge success with his Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam debut, "The College Dropout." The album is No. 19 in its 16th week on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 1.69 million copies.

More dates will be added, according to Usher's spokesperson. Ticket on-sale information has not yet been finalized.
