Hamburg-based independent record label edel music has restructured its executive team with the elevation of two key staffers. Gabi Grube has been promoted to CFO and Timo Steinberg is upped to COO, with immediate effect.

Grube and Steinberg split the duties of Michael Baur, who on June 30 exited the company as CFO/COO and member of its executive board. On September 1, Baur will join the management board of business consultants AlixPartners.

In their respective new roles, Grube and Steinberg both report to group CEO Michael Haentjes. In future, the GMs and managers of edel subsidiaries will report to Haentjes and Steinberg.

"I have every confidence that we will maintain the successful development of edel with the new structure," comments Haentjes in a statement.

In his most recent role as edel's director business development, Steinberg was responsible for implementing restructuring measures and strategic projects. Prior to joining edel in June 2002, he worked as senior product manager for Munich-based consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Grube joined edel 10 years ago and has held various management posts and specialist financial roles. Most recently, she was director of accounting & taxes for the German company.
