Warner Music Korea Names New MD

Philip Oh has been appointed managing director of Warner Music Korea, with immediate effect.

Philip Oh has been appointed managing director of Warner Music Korea, with immediate effect.

In his new role, Oh is tasked with developing the Korean business through quality local content and exploiting that repertoire throughout North Asia. He reports to Warner Music Asia Pacific president Lachie Rutherford.

"I look forward to…capitalizing on the rapidly growing penetration of broadband to deliver content to our consumers via all platforms,” comments Oh in a statement.

He joins the major from Korean-based production house and artist management firm Pure Entertainment, where he helped guide the career of leading Korean singer and actress Jang Na Ra.
