Ticketmaster has restructured the senior management team at its U.K. and Ireland operations. Tommy Higgins has been promoted to group managing director, Ticketmaster U.K. and Ireland, reporting to Ticketmaster president/CEO John Pleasants.
Until recently, Higgins was MD of Ticketmaster Ireland, with responsibility for business development, marketing and client services. In his new post, he fills a void left by Peter Jackson, formerly group MD for Ticketmaster U.K., who is to return to Ticketmaster Canada.
Meanwhile, Chris Edmonds, GM of Ticketmaster London and the South, has been named MD of Ticketmaster U.K., reporting to Higgins. Edmonds will focus on developing all aspects of Ticketmaster's retail operation in the United Kingdom, including ticketing business carried out under Ticketmaster sister brand TicketWeb.
