EMI To Issue Latin Grammy CD

19-track album due Aug. 24.

EMI Music's Latin America division will release this year's Latin Grammy Nominees CD. The 19-track compilation is due Aug. 24 in Spain, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and the United States.

Included are such songs as Alejandro Sanz's "No Es Lo Mismo," Luis Miguel's "Vuelve," Area 305's "Que Linda Morena," Akwid's "Subir Arriba," Bebo Valdes y Diego El Cigala's "Lagrimas Negras," David Bisbal's "Desnudate Mujer" and Julieta Venegas' "Andar Conmigo."

A portion of proceeds from the album will benefit the Latin Recording Academy's educational programs.

The fifth annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place Sept. 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. and will be broadcast on CBS, with radio support via Univision Radio and Westwood One International.
