Licensing event set for Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Berlin.
Berlin-based company Premium Exhibitions is planning a new event, the Premium Music Conference, where labels will showcase music to the film, TV, advertising, digital distribution, Internet, mobile and game industries in an effort to line up licensing opportunities.
The inaugural event is set for Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin -- coinciding with the 2004 Popkomm convention in the city. The two events are not affiliated.
Confirmed attendees include representatives of Atlantic Records, EMI Music Publishing, Napster U.K., A&R Worldwide, MM Merchandising Media, RTL ENterprises and DaimlerChrysler.
Marketed by U.S.-based synchronization consulting company Zync Music, the conference will feature keynote speakers that include Warner Bros. Pictures music exec Carter Armstrong, FIFA 2006 World Cup head of marketing Rupert Daniels, Musictank president Keith Harris, Neophonic music exec PJ Bloom, Vodafone global head of music and video content Edward Kershaw and Mforma programming senior VP Robert Tercek.
Popkomm 2004 will take place at Berlin's Exhibition Grounds.
