Cantore takes VP post.
MTV Networks Latin America has named Jacqueline Cantore as VP of programming.
Cantore, who is based in Miami, was most recently involved in programming for two start-ups: SiTV, an English-langage channel for the U.S. Hispanic market, and National Geographic India. She previously worked for MTV in Brazil in 1990.
In her new post, her duties will include supervising scheduling and program acquisitions. She will report to Charlie Singer, executive VP of programming, creative and strategic marketing for MTV Networks Latin America.
Cantore's appointment follows news earlier this week that longtime MTV Networks Latin America president Antoinette Zel will exit Nov. 15 to take a position as executive VP at Telemundo Communications.
