WB Nashville Bows Comedy Imprint

Foxworthy, Engvall among acts on roster.

Warner Bros. Records Nashville is launching a comedy imprint, WBR/Jack Records. The label is a partnership with Los Angeles-based manager J.P. Williams, who named it after his son Jack.

Warner Bros. comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall will now be on the WBR/Jack roster, along with new signees Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. The four are well known for the Blue Collar Comedy tour, which spawned a movie, tour and TV show that airs on the WB and Comedy Central.

The first release on the new label will be Engvall's "A Decade of Laughs," due Oct. 26. Larry the Cable Guy's "A Very Larry Christmas" will follow on Nov. 16; "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour II: Rides Again" streets Nov. 23.

WBR/Jack will be operated by existing Warner Nashville staff, including Peter Strickland, VP of sales/marketing, who is spearheading the launch.
