Publisher Warner/Chappell Music has upped two executives, Judy Stakee and Greg Sowders, to senior VPs of A&R. Sowders was previously VP of creative and Stakee was VP of A&R. Both are based in Los Angeles and report to W/C president Rick Shoemaker.

Stakee has been with the company since 1989, when she joined as director of A&R. She has worked with Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch and Jewel, and most recently signed a new publishing deal with songwriter John Shanks, who wrote and produced 10 of the 12 songs on Ashlee Simpson's Geffen/Interscope debut, "Autobiography."

Sowders, who joined Warner/Chappell in 1991 in its film and television department, has worked with the likes of the Black Crowes, Lucinda Williams, Wilco, Nickelback, Staind and Rufus Wainwright.
