Schindler Leaving Powerhouse Law Firm

Grubman, Indursky & Schindler loses co-founder.

After 30 years with one of the top music-industry law firms, Paul Schindler has announced that he is resigning from Grubman, Indursky & Schindler in New York.

Schindler and Alan Grubman founded the firm in 1974; Arthur Indursky joined them the following year. The firm's clients include top artists, songwriters and music executives, including Madonna, Alicia Keys, Jessica Simpson and KISS.

The parties say their parting is amicable. "My partners are like family," Schindler tells, but "it's time to try something new."

Schindler hasn't decided if he will open his own practice or take advantage of other opportunities, but he will remain working in the legal field. He and the firm will continue to work on clients together, he adds.

Schindler will remain at the firm's New York offices until he decides on "the right situation," he says.
