Bryan Adams Leads 'Canada For Asia'

Benefit raises millions for tsunami victims.

The "Canada for Asia" benefit concert Thursday night (Jan. 13) raised $4 million Canadian ($3.29 million) for victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., which aired the event live from its headquarters in Toronto. The funds will go to various agencies, including the Canadian Red Cross.

Bryan Adams led the list of performers at the two-hour event, along with the Barenaked Ladies, the Tragically Hip, Jann Arden, Tom Cochrane, Bruce Cockburn, David Usher, Sloan and Blue Rodeo. Celine Dion performed via satellite broadcast from Las Vegas.
