Former Fox Kids Europe CEO Ynon Kreiz has joined global venture firm Benchmark Capital to head its new European media business.
LONDON (The Hollywood Reporter) -- Former Fox Kids Europe CEO Ynon Kreiz has joined global venture firm Benchmark Capital to head its new European media business.
As general partner of its European funds, Kreiz will spearhead Benchmark's move into early-stage media investment, heading the debut of its $375 million media investment fund, the company said.
Kreiz took Fox Kids Europe public onto the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 1999 and left the company in 2002, a year after it was acquired by the Walt Disney Co. He worked with Haim Saban and Saban Capital Group on the acquisition of German broadcasting business ProSiebenSat.1 and remains on ProSieben's supervisory board.
It is expected that he will continue to pursue private equity business opportunities with the Saban Group, as well as work on early-stage investment venture capital projects with Benchmark.
