100-date outing starts in November.
Clear Channel Entertainment and Cirque du Soleil have formed a partnership to develop and produce a 100-date North American arena tour, beginning in November.
For the first time ever, Cirque du Soleil will perform principally one-night concert engagements in major arenas across North America. The new show will feature the music of Cirque du Soleil, incorporating the troupe's signature staging and production. The events will be promoted like one-off concerts.
Cirque du Soleil Musique, the production's music division, will manage creative and artistic production of the new venture. Production and promotional aspects will be managed by CCE.
Overseeing the project for CCE will be Jonathan Hochwald, executive VP of creative development; for Cirque du Soleil, Éric Fournier, senior VP of new ventures.
