Live-biz event set for March 11-13 in London.
David Enthoven and Tim Clark, managers of Robbie Williams, will be the keynote speakers at the International Live Music Conference, to be held March 11-13 at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The two IE:Music principals will field questions from former Dire Straits manager Ed Bicknell.
Former Undertones frontman Feargal Sharkey will make his second appearance at ILMC as chairman of the U.K. government's Live Music Forum. He will present an update on plans for the British live-music business and the new Licensing Act that goes into effect later this year.
One session at the confab will focus on the potential of emerging live-music markets in the Far East and Eastern Europe. The discussion will be chaired by Colleen Ironside, managing director of Hong Kong-based Live Limited, and Czech promoter Serge Grimaux.
Another session will scrutinize Clear Channel Entertainment's contributions to the live business since it started its activities in Europe at the beginning of the decade. CCE Europe is now present in 12 European markets.
