Hollywood Execs Extend Ties

Lind, Bunt are promoted.

Hollywood Records senior VP/GM Abbey Konowitch and senior VP of promotion Justin Fontaine have inked new long-term contracts with the Burbank, Calif.-based label.

"Abbey has played a major role in our success in the past few years," Bob Cavallo, chairman of Hollywood parent Buena Vista Music Group, says in a statement. "His vision has propelled the staff to achieve our goals and beyond, and he has become an integral part of our team in all strategic areas. Abbey's background as a record executive along with his MTV experience make him a tremendous asset. Similarly, Justin and his team have delivered hit record after hit at radio, which has obviously helped with our success."

Additionally, Cavallo has promoted two key execs.

Jon Lind is upped from VP to senior VP of A&R for Hollywood and adds the role of senior VP of publishing for BVMG. "Jon has a great ear and instinct for music," Cavallo says. "In this new dual position, he will utilize his far-reaching experience as a premiere songwriter and producer to make our repertoire even better."

Ken Bunt is upped from VP of online marketing to senior VP of marketing, overseeing product management, advertising, corporate partnerships, creative services administration and online marketing. Bunt reports to Konowitch.

Finally, Hollywood has named Lillian Matulic as VP of publicity. She was most recently senior VP of publicity at Geffen Records and MCA.
