Digital Briefs: PassAlong, Yangaroo, 'Body By Jake'

- PassAlong Networks named Ray Gary as its first president. Gary formerly was president and managing director of Koch Ventures. He will report to CES Dave Jaworski and will be based in the company's Franklin, Tenn., headquarters.

- Yangaroo, which operates a digital promo delivery network for radio stations and other outlets, received an allowance of its patent application for its technology in the U.S. The allowance is a necessary step before the formal patent grant is awarded.

- Universal Music Enterprises is teaming up with "Body By Jake" star Jake Steinfeld on what they're calling a "digital fitness music label" called Don't Quit Music. The playlists created will be distributed digitally from various online retailers and via the new slotMusic card from SanDisk. The two will also work together on promotional activities to drive sales.
