Alliance Plans Massive Cuts

Alliance Entertainment is planning to layoff 462 employees, according to Pacific Business News. Alliance told the state it plans to shutter its warehouse in Coral Springs and lay off 462 employees, effective March 16, according to the report. The bulk of the layoffs - 333 - are warehouse workers.

As reported last week, Alliance Entertainment let go about 15 employees, including sales director George Balicky, and was planning to let go all of the remaining Innovative Distribution Network, which will effectively shut down its independent label operation, according to executives at IDN distributed labels.
