Sudden Exit For EMI France's Collin

EMI Music France chairman Nathalie Collin has left the major, a statement issued by EMI confirms.

Collin has worked at EMI France since 1997 and was promoted from VP to chairman in July 2008.

EMI Music Europe president David Kassler will now directly handle French operations; Collin left the company on Jan. 27.

EMI Music France declined to comment on such a rapid departure after only six months in her new role. However, there are rumors in the French biz that Collin will be joining French national newspaper Liberation as co-president of the management board.
