Britney loved it!

Oops...she did it again.

Katy Perry dug into VMA history when she chose what to wear to Sunday's award show. She (along with Riff Raff) went with all-denim ensembles that channeled those iconic Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake outfits. 

Perry instantly name-checked where she got her inspiration. "[It's a] throwback to Britney and Justin," Perry told MTV on the carpet. "This is how we do a remix."

 
UPDATE: Britney Spears responded Monday morning, and of course she loved the homage.
