Music PR and marketing firm Infamous has launched a new content studio, Infamy Media, and has additionally named publicist Maxfield Frieser vice president.

Infamy will develop content for Infamous’s artists and events division, as well as outside clients and brands, with a primary focus on video. The new venture was co-founded by Frieser alongside Infamous CEO and founder Alastair Duncan.

“Max has had a massive impact at Infamous, and is someone I have tremendous admiration and respect for, he fully deserves to be named our first Vice-President,” said Duncan in a statement. “Our role at Infamous is always evolving, the launch of a content studio is a natural progression of what we do best, which is telling our clients’ stories.”

Since joining Infamous in 2014, Frieser has helped create the company’s festival and events division, which represents concert promoters Live Nation and Goldenvoice as well as festivals including CRSSD, HARD Summer, Prime Social Group, ESPN’s X-Games Music, Splash House, DIRTYBIRD Campout, Rakastella, HOLY SHIP!, Desert Hearts, Under The Big Sky, Secret Project, SXM Festival, Day Zero, Oasis Festival and Ocaso Festival.

Frieser has additionally spearheaded Infamous’s live artist division, which represents such acts as Rufus Du Soul, Guy Gerber, Wu-Tan Clan, GRiZ and STS9, as well as labels including DIRTYBIRD, All Day I Dream, Desert Hearts and Insomniac Records.

"Helping to grow Infamous for the last five years has been an incredible experience and we are fortunate to count some of the most exciting artists, brands and festivals as clients," added Frieser. "With narrative creation and storytelling more vital than ever we remain focused on continually trying to innovate and deliver the best possible communications service for all our clients."

At this year’s Coachella, Infamous handled PR for the festival’s DoLab Stage, Goldenvoice’s Day Club, Rhonda Queen of the Desert at HITS Horse Park and Zenyara Estate, among others. They recently organized press for the charity soccer tournament Copa del Rave in Los Angeles as well as at the upcoming festivals Lightning In a Bottle at Buena Vista Lake in California and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain. The company was founded in 2008.
