These days, Selena Gomez is pretty happy. And the pop star confirmed just that during a chat with radio program, Saturday Night Online, on Jan. 31.

Gomez had a major case of the giggles when the show's host asked her about her pal, Zedd, throwing out his real first name, Anton, just to hear her LOL-worthy reaction.

"Whatever, I got to go," she said, laughing.

When he asked how happy she is these days, she added, "It's like an 8 or 9. Whatever, I've got to go."

Gomez and Zedd are rumored to be dating in addition to working on new music together. She is recording her next album, as well as filming The Revised Fundamentals Of Caregiving in Atlanta with Paul Rudd.

She added during the interview that she is 15 songs in on the album. "I think it's been extremely exciting," she said.

"I think after four albums, I finally feel a little more like myself than I ever have," she continued. "I have this confidence and I have a better understanding of what I'm talking about. This is now a point in my life where I have experienced friendships or relationships or travel or exploring, it's really fun."

Earlier this week it was confirmed she will reunite with her Spring Breakers co-star, James Franco, in an adaptation of John Steinbeck novel In Dubious Battle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  She'll be joined by Vincent D'Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston and Danny McBride.
