Maureen Kenny is Atlantic Records' new svp of A&R, the label announced on Tuesday. The industry veteran arrives from Republic Records, where she worked with bands ranging from Of Monsters and Men to Weezer in her role as vp of A&R. "Over the past decade, she has signed and nurtured a diversity of compelling artists and A&R'd a string of outstanding records. Maureen is admired throughout the music community for her intuition and creativity, and it gives me great pleasure to welcome her into the Atlantic family."

Added label CEO Craig Kallman: "Maureen is a fantastic addition to a terrific staff that is discovering great artists and developing an exceptional roster. We're looking eagerly forward to all the amazing music we know she will contribute to the life of Atlantic."

Kenny will be based at the company's office in Burbank, Calif.
