If you have a problem with Ariana Grande's grammatically erroneous lyrics on her Zedd collabo "Break Free," you might be surprised to learn that the 21-year-old singer is completely on your side.
"I fought [co-producer Max Martin] on it the whole time," Grande tells Time magazine. "'I am not going to sing a grammatically incorrect lyric, help me God!' Max was like, 'It's funny -- just do it!' I know it's funny and silly, but grammatically incorrect things make me cringe sometimes."
In "Break Free," Grande sings, "Now that I've become who I really are" as well as, "I only wanna die alive," both of which make little sense.
