Officials in Mexico said they would halt all events at the open area known as 30-30 in the Mexico City suburb of Ecatepec following the death of three people and injuries to at least a dozen more during a regional Mexican music concert Saturday night.

The troubles started early Sunday morning following performances by major acts like Arrolladora Banda El Limón, Lupillo Rivera and Banda La Trakalosa as part of a massive show attended by more than 10,000 people.

Reports from concertgoers, however, differed from the official version of events.

Ecatepec municipal president Pablo Bedolla López said during a press conference that firemen had broken down a wall next to the exit to “allow people to exit faster and avoid a bigger tragedy.”

But a video posted on YouTube (above), reportedly taken by security cameras, shows throngs of people milling around a wall, and then the wall collapses (at minute 1:04) as several attempt to climb over it.
At press time, neither La Arrolladora or Lupillo Rivera had posted any reaction to the tragedy on their respective twitter accounts nor had they issued any formal statements. Grupo Extreminador, however, retweeted news reports on the situation.
