R&B singer/songwriter Joe and new manager/business partner Gerald "Plaid" Isaac have signed with BMG Chrysalis North America. Plaid Take-Over, the duo's new label, will release Joe's next album "Bridges" through BMG Artist Services with distribution from RED.
The move to BMG Chrysalis marks Joe's split from Kedar Massenburg, his longtime manager and label chief at both Kedar Entertainment and Massenburg Media. Prior to that, Joe recorded for Mercury and Jive.
In announcing the signing, BMG Chrysalis North America exec. VP creative & business development Richard Blackstone said, "Joe's silky vocals continue to set him apart from the pack. We are very happy to support Joe and offer him this individualized approach for releasing his music."
