EDMbiz returns to Las Vegas this June bigger than ever. What began as a somewhat experimental confab by Insomniac Events in the run-up to their flagship Electric Daisy Carnival festival in Las Vegas is now a fixture on the industry calendar. This year’s event runs June 17 – 19 once again inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. In addition to three days of panels featuring professionals from across dance music, EDMbiz will add a trade show along with the Dick Clark Productions-produced EDM Awards, first announced last year.
“This year’s going to be taking it to another level,” Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella tells Billboard. “In America we haven’t had a proper dance music conference. People go to [Miami’s] Winter Music Conference but it’s a different thing. People mostly go to the clubs and party and set up their own meetings. We’ve had success with people mingling at the conference.
Scheduled for Thursday, June 19 at a venue yet to be announced, the award show will feature so many awards there won’t be time to present them all during the ceremony, according to Rotella.
